Lovingly restored and stunningly refurbished, this iconic hotel is an idyllic retreat in a jaw-dropping location on one of the world’s favourite islands. Steeped in history, Skeabost is the third and latest in the small group of boutique hotels owned and run by Anne and Ken Gunn whose accolades include Scottish Hoteliers of the Year and a Gold Laurel as two of Scotland’s ‘most visionary entrepreneurs.’
It is the only hotel on Skye with its own golf course - a nine hole, 18 tee shoreline challenge. The fast flowing River Snizort which runs through the grounds provides excellent salmon and trout fishing. The 18 bedroom Skeabost, acquired by Anne and Ken in 2015, is situated in 23 acres of woodland on the edge of a loch, with views out to sea and crofting hamlets. Located seven miles from the main town of Portree, Skeabost is also ideally situated as a base for exploring an island regularly voted one of the most fascinating in the world. Management and staff enthusiastically share their local knowledge.

When Anne Gracie and Ken Gunn were dreaming of their future businesses together they always knew that it would include their passion for sailing. So how better to do that but build it into their daily activity whilst running their beautiful award winning hotels on the romantic Isle of Skye on the West Coast of Scotland. Their hotels Duisdale and its nearby sister hotel Toravaig located on the Isle of Skye are the only hotels in Scotland which offer daily sailing trips onboard their luxury yacht exclusively for hotel guests. These daily sailing adventures in Hebridean waters around the southern shores of Skye include the small isles of Eigg and Rhum and up some mainland lochs such as Loch Nevis and the remotely wild Knoydart peninsula.
